MyJAMES Brings 20 Years of Proven Capability to the Palm of Your Hand
What's Happening?
Lockheed Martin has just launched MyJAMES, a new mobile app suite that transforms how the UK Armed Forces manage assets and carry out critical tasks anytime, anywhere.
MyJAMES brings key functionality from the Joint Asset Management and Engineering Solutions (JAMES) system directly to personal electronic devices for the first time.
What is JAMES?
JAMES provides real-time data on military equipment’s location, status and readiness, empowering the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) with smarter logistics and asset management for 20 years and counting.
This enables the MOD to make informed decisions about equipment maintenance, allocation and deployment, directly supporting the effectiveness of the UK military.
Why it Matters
MyJAMES frees UK Armed Forces personnel from desk-bound systems, enabling them to access critical data and complete tasks while on the go by using their personal or MOD-issued mobile devices.
Before MyJAMES, personnel were restricted to desktops and laptops, limiting efficiency and flexibility.
Early Success
After extensive trials with 12 Regiment Royal Artillery, MyJAMES improved efficiency and reduced downtime.
Users praised its ease of use and flexibility.
“The ability to use these JAMES elements from your own mobile phone makes it effortless and straightforward — a real asset for the end-user,” said Staff Sergeant Alex Horridge of the Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) JAMES delivery team.
