This is the fourth time Norway’s F-35s have deployed to Iceland to support NATO’s air surveillance mission. Closer to home, Norway’s F-35s are on alert year-round from Evenes Air Base. Last year alone, Norway's F-35s flew more than 4,000 hours — a new record and signifcant achievement for the Royal Norwegian Air Force.

The F-35’s presence in Europe is a powerful example of allied deterrence amid clear and present threats.
